Writing for the stage
Would you love to give playwriting a go, but don’t know where to begin? Perhaps you're just longing to try something new during lockdown? Martin Travers’ online classes are for you!
Join us on Zoom as we discover how to write for the stage. Over eight informal and entertaining sessions we will:
- look at the writing techniques employed in key scenes from modern plays
- examine how characters interact with one another and how the relationships between them are built
- introduce you to the skills required to write short monologues and dialogues
- give you the playwriting skills you need to develop a new dramatic or funny scene
Suitable for complete beginners, these classes are a great introduction to playwriting. Martin will provide invaluable feedback and one-to-one support as you work towards creating your own scene. Then at the final session, your piece of new writing will be performed by professional actors.
