Writing for the Stage

Eight informal and entertaining sessions led by playwright Martin Travers that will:

• look at the writing techniques employed in key scenes from modern plays

• introduce you to the skills required to write short monologues and dialogues

• give you the playwrighting skills you need to develop a new dramatic or funny scene

Your new writing developed on the ‘Writing for the Stage’ course will be showcased by Level 4 Nightschool participants. Nightschool Level 4 is a specialist evening acting course which focuses on working towards performance.

Scenes will be staged and brought to life under the guidance of Guy Hollands, Citizens Theatre Associate Director.
