On the Move

On the Move

Come and say 'see you soon' to our building at 119 Gorbals Street as we prepare to relocate our community and education projects to  Scotland Street School Museum and present our autumn shows, Cyrano de Bergerac and A Christmas Carol, at Tramway.

From 10am - 5pm we'll have events for all including behind-the-scenes backstage tours, a sale on the main stage and the chance to share your memories of the Citz.

At 10am our Learning team will be leading a walk to Scotland Street School Museum with past and present members of our community projects and drama classes. All are welcome to join us - please register your interest here. We'll meet in the Citizens Theatre foyer at 9.30am. At 10am, we'll then walk together to Scotland Street School Museum, around a 30 minute walk. We'll be led by a piper and have plenty of banners and balloons to let everyone know that our community is on the move! At Scotland Street School Museum, stay and enjoy a cup of tea and some cake with us. If you are interested in joining us on the walk please register   - we want to make sure there's enough cake for everyone!

Meanwhile at the Citizens Theatre our event will include a series of backstage tours, while also providing you with the chance to grab a memento in a sale of costumes and theatrical items, share you memories of the theatre and explore plans for the new building. You can also expect a few theatrical surprises along the way.

Tours  will run from 11am - 2.30pm and have limited spaces - stop by Box Office from 10am on the day to secure your place!
