Off The Page Summer 2021 (Morning session)
Fancy reading a great play in the company of others from the comfort of your own home? If so, grab a coffee and join us on Wednesday mornings on Zoom as we read and discuss the mysterious and lovelorn Twelfth Night by William Shakespeare. We'll also be looking at the ludicrous Comedy of Errors, exploring our favourite versions of Shakespeare on film and delving into the Citizens’ own adaptation of Macbeth.
No advance reading is required – enjoy finding out what happens each week!
These sociable online sessions are a digital alternative to our normal weekly play-reading workshops and are aimed at older adults.
Twelfth Night by William Shakespeare
Please make sure you have a copy of Twelfth Night in advance of the first session. You can use your own copy if you have one. If not, you can purchase it from a range of online stores including Waterstones, Hive and Amazon. You don't need to purchase any other texts mentioned above.
What will I need?
To access the sessions all you need is a smartphone, tablet or laptop and an application called Zoom which you can download for free. Don’t worry if you’ve not used Zoom before, we have a step-by-step guide and we are very happy to talk you through it.
How do I sign up?
Just click the book now button! There are a limited number of places so advance booking is recommended. Your booking will require an email address. We will use that email address to get in touch before the start date with more information and instructions on how to access the weekly sessions.
