Fancy reading a great play in the company of others from the comfort of your own home?

If so, grab a coffee and join us on Wednesday mornings, 11am-12.30pm on Zoom.

No advance reading is required – enjoy finding out what happens each week!

There are a limited number of places so advance booking is recommended.

Your booking will require an email address. We will use that email address to get in touch before the start date with more information and instructions on how to access the weekly sessions.

WHAT WILL I NEED?

To access the sessions, you need a smartphone, tablet or laptop and Zoom, which you can download for free. Don’t worry if you’ve not used Zoom before, we have a step-by-step guide.

WHAT WE'LL BE READING

This term we'll be exploring Howard Brenton's stage adaptation of The Ragged Trousered Philanthropists by Robert Tressell. The story captures the lives of a group of painters and decorators pre 1st World War, under constant fear of being laid off. It’s full of characters, a gentle sense of humour and humanity.

You will need a copy in advance of the first session. We will be reading the Howard Brenton adaptation, published by Nick Hern Books. It can be bought from a range of online stores including Blackwells, Nick Hern Booksand Hive
