Off The Page

Sociable, weekly play-reading sessions online for older adults.

In line with the latest advice issued by the Scottish and UK Governments, the Citizens Theatre cancelled all in person performances and classes. See our full statement on Coronavirus. Off The Page members continue to meet virtually and the course has expanded to two groups.

Read a great play in the company of others from the comfort of your own home The groups meet Wednesday's on Zoom to read, explore and talk about a different play each term. No advance reading is required, you can enjoy finding out what happens each week!

These sociable online sessions are a digital alternative to our normal weekly play-reading workshops and are aimed at older adults.

If you'd like more information contact Neil Packham on neil@citz.co.uk.

Autumn 2021

This term we're exploring two one-act plays set in the near future - Go On by Linda McLean and Metaverse by Hannah Khalil. There are two courses, a morning session and an afternoon session, running from 6 Oct - 30 Nov. Find out more.

For the past year we've run sessions online, meeting every Wednesday on Zoom. For the Autumn 2020 term we read David Greig’s brilliant Outlying Islands and last Spring we explored Martin McDonagh's darkly comic play The Beauty Queen of Leenane.
