Nightschool
A fun and informal introduction to acting skills for adults who want to try their hand at performing.
Nightschool is not running right now. It will resume with the re-opening of the Citizens Theatre. In the meantime, keep an eye out for one-off learning opportunities for participants during the year.
A fun and informal introduction to acting skills for adults who want to try their hand at performing. Course material is refreshed each term and participants are welcome to repeat levels. All sessions are led by professional Theatre Practitioners.
We usually run four levels of courses, running on Monday and Tuesday evenings in term blocks.
- Levels 1 & 2 explore acting skills and a variety of classic and contemporary texts from past and present Citizens Theatre productions. Level 1 is suitable for complete beginners. Level 2 is suitable for people who have already completed the first level and those with some previous acting experience.
- Level 3 works towards an informal performance at the end of the course and is suitable for those who've completed previous levels.
- Level 4 is a more specialist course, working with a smaller group of participants to create a group performance. This course will suit those who have completed Level 3.
