Information for Trusts and Foundations

We believe that quality theatre is for everyone and that everyone should have the opportunity to take part in the creative life of the theatre. Whether by watching a play or by developing skills and self-confidence in an inclusive environment.

Each year, we work with over 30,000 community participants through a variety of community initiatives and one-off projects, creating life-changing experiences for participants dealing with all kinds of complex issues, from disability to homelessness, addiction recovery to long-term unemployment.

We are committed to using drama as a vehicle for social change and the support we receive from Trusts and Foundations is vital to enabling us to continue this important work. Your funding helps us to plan for the future and ensure we continue to deliver the very best theatre and community projects for people from all walks of life. We favour long-term engagement with our supporters and commit to working with our partners to develop drama projects that are innovative and responsive to the greatest need.

Donations via cheque can be sent at this time and made payable to The Citizens Theatre Limited to Citizens Theatre, 119 Gorbals Street, Glasgow G5 9DS.

In response to Covid-19 restrictions, our Participation Team adapted creatively. We reached out to our Gorbals neighbours and extended family of participants across the city, particularly those who felt
isolated at this time. Check out our Through My Window project.
