218 Women’s Service
The 218 service is a Turning Point Scotland service that takes a person-centred approach in dealing with issues that women offenders face. The programme at 218 is designed to address issues with substance misuse, physical and mental health, and other social needs including housing and childcare. The service deals with women who have current criminal justice involvement and a range of complex needs.
For several years we have delivered a series of creative writing and drama workshops with the women and staff at 218 Service. The women at 218 Service have also taken part in the Create a Puppet Create yourself programme, where the group made their own puppets, developed a storyline in tandem with stories of personal recovery and performed in front of residents and staff.
We have a long history of working with women’s groups in the community. Find out about other Projects for Women.
