Here We Stay - Call for participants!

Interested in taking part in a music performance at the Citizens theatre? We are looking for participants to share their experiences through music, spoken word and song and take part in a musical performance called Here we Stay at the Citizens Theatre. If performing is not for you, you can also get involved in creating a documentary film for the proejct working with video production director Martyn Robertson from Urbancroft.

NEXT TASTER SESSION
16 AUGUST 11.30am-2pm We are holding special taster workshops for this project at the Citizens Theatre, where you can meet the team, ask questions and find out more.

HERE WE STAY - THE FINAL PROJECT
Working with experienced musician/composer Matthew Brown, along with Directors Elly Goodman and Neil Packham from the Citizens Theatre, you will help to create a musical composition of stories from your community that will be performed at the theatre in November 2012.
DATES AND TIMES
• Taster Session: 19 July • Rehearsals will take place 2 days per week every Tuesday and Thursday from 21 August-8 November, 10am-2pm. • Technical & dress rehearsals: 12-15 November. • The final performances of Here We Stay will run from 15-17 November, at 6pm each evening, with a matinee performance on 16 November at 1.30pm.

Travel expenses & lunch will be provided during rehearsals.

PARTICIPANTS

We especially welcome participants from refugee or asylum seeking backgrounds.
No experience needed, just an interest in being part of the project.
