Des Clarke: Just Desserts
Whyte & Mackay Glasgow International Comedy Festival 2018
Glasgow’s star of stand up is back at the Whyte & Mackay Glasgow International Comedy Festival with more nonsense stories, topical gags and offbeat observations.
Des is known to many as host of the Capital Breakfast Show and BBC’s Breaking The News. Both have won a feast of awards in the past 12 months. Not that Des sees any of these prizes as his mum keeps them all in a cabinet in the spare room.
Des is also a regular on the telly, fronting high profile programmes like the Commonwealth Games Closing Ceremony, Children In Need and SMTV. In addition to guest appearances on Celebrity Eggheads, Chanel 5’s LOLs and the NBC Today Show.
But stand-up comedy remains his first love. Des has been performing since he was 19 and has appeared on stages across the world in far flung destinations like Adelaide, New York and Govan.
Catch him live, as he returns to the Whyte & Mackay Glasgow International Comedy Festival to finally get his Just Desserts.
