Objects of Meaning

Citizens Learning

Bringing important objects to life, a drama project in association with Kelvingrove Museum and Art Gallery.

Young Co. are always up for new and interesting challenges. During their regular weekly workshops they have been building a piece of drama that is inspired by objects that are personal to them and in some way linked to their perception of their ‘culture or faith’. We all have those items that are precious to us whether it’s a piece of jewellery, a pair of ballet shoes that you danced in as a child or a papier-mache snake! These items each have an important story to tell, it might be sentimental, it might be life changing but whatever it is, it makes up part of who we are.

The culmination of this project will take place alongside a number of other Southside community organisations who have been working with storytellers and are having their objects photographed and turned into postcards.

Young Co. tell the stories that matter to them.
