WHO IS ON THE PANEL?

We invited audience members, participants, local community organisations and the general public to put themselves forward by application. Three information sessions were held in August 2012 and following a shortlisting process, the panel members were appointed in September 2012.

The Citizens Panel has 11 members. They range in age from 18 to 70 and they represent a mix of ages, ethnicities and abilities. The Panel comprises of 7 women and 4 men who are drawn from a wide geographical base and set of life experiences. They are all passionately committed to ensuring that the Citizens continues to engage new audiences in artistically exciting initiatives.

WHAT DOES THE PANEL DO?

Our aspiration is that over time, the Panel will become an important part of the Citizens planning and decision-making structures. The Panel has already been consulted on ideas and plans for our major building re-development project taking place between 2016-2019 and are a focus group for marketing and research purposes. Other projects which will require the Panel’s input could include developing new community based projects and learning activities.

In 2013, the panel appointed photographer Sarah Amy Fishlock and cellist/composer Greg Sinclair as Artists in Residence. You can read more about Sarah and Greg on the Artists in Residence Page.
