The Citizens provides a variety of services to facilitate access to the theatre.

WHEELCHAIR ACCESS

Wheelchair access is available in the stalls area of our main theatre and in both of our studios.  Look out for the symbol on our seating plan.  Adapted toilets are also available. 

FREE CAR PARK

Free parking adjacent to the Theatre. Level access to theatre building and foyer. Marked bays for disabled and parent and child. Enter via Crown Street & Laurieston Road.

INDUCTION LOOP

Induction loop and infrared systems are provided. Please ask our Box Office staff to advise on the best seats to book, to optimise the hearing benefits from this system.

AUDIO DESCRIPTION

Available on pre-advertised dates, visually impaired theatre-attenders can listen to a description delivered around the dialogue of a performance through a headset.  Infrared headsets are available on request from the Box Office and can be reserved at the time of booking. TOUCH TOURS

Touch tours are also available in advance of each Audio Described Performance.  Please book two weeks in advance through our Box Office.

SIGNED PERFORMANCES

We offer a British Sign Language Interpreter on stage during certain performances.  See below for list of available performances with this service.

CAPTIONED PERFORMANCES

Captioning converts the spoken word into text providing access to live performance to people with hearing loss.  In captioning, the words appear on a screen at the same time as they are sung or spoken.  Captions also include sound effects and offstage noises.  For more information visit http://www.stagetext.org.  See below for list of available performances with this service.
